On the island you can enjoy the national reserve 'Duinen van Texel'. The vastness of the sea and the beach, the secluded woods and the dunes make this a beautiful area to visit. Villages such as Den Hoorn, Oosterend and Oudeschild offer a wide variety of nice shops and terraces. You can also visit 'Ecomare', the centre for the 'Wadden' islands and the North Sea.

Den Burg
Texel is the largest island in The Netherlands. On the edge of the centre of Den Burg lies Fletcher Hotel-Restaurant Koogerend. This is the perfect spot for a short break. On the ferry trip to the island you can already get into that holiday mood.
The island can be visited throughout the year. Large stretches of beach are perfect for sunbathing or a long hike. There are dozens of hiking and biking tracks along picturesque villages and the island also offers several museums, a subtropical swimming pool and a 9-hole golf course.
