Bar Bistro Loodsman's Welvaren, the former meetingplace of pilots and fishermen, is decorated in nautical style and is the address for real Texel cosy and lively atmosphere. In the bistro you can enjoy many (local) fish and meat specialties.

Aside from the sauna there is a relax room, a jacuzzi, a Finnish sauna and a slorium. Lovely to relax after a wonderful cycling tour or walk on the beach!

Hotel Loodsman's Welvaren ("Pilot's Well-Sailing") is a two-hundred years old inn, situated in the pittoresque village of Den Hoorn on the south side of the island Texel. This hotel was recently renovated and lies in the middle of nature, close to the woods, dunes and the beach. Because of this it is pre-eminently suitable to explore the many attractive aspects of Texel. Holidaymakers as well as business guests can enjoy a relaxed and comfortable stay. In the restaurant / bar area you can make free use of the wireless Internet with your own laptop.
Loodsman's Welvaren has twin rooms with bathroom, wake-up radio, television and telephone. In addition there are more spacious ground-floor rooms (also suitable for disabled guests) with own terrace, extra spacious sitting are and minibar.
The hotel is easy to reach by public transport and you can park your car for free. The jetty of the ferry to Texel is only a ten minutes drive away.

- The hotel does not have a 24-hour reception. If you want to check in after 19:00 h., you need to contact the reception in advance.
- A third person can stay in a room at an additional charge of 50%.
- The hotel has several ground floor rooms, that are also suitable for guests with a disability. These rooms can be booked on request.
