Jugendstil was the style architect H.J. Jesse chose to embrace in his design of this building which was constructed in 1907. Now the building meets all the requirements of modern times and has full fire protection. Successful renovations in 2001 resulted in an impressive combination of function and style while the classic character of the building was preserved.
The Mariënpoel Hotel, on the corner of the Mariënpoelstraat and the Rijnsburgerweg, owes its name to the medieval Mariënpoel monastery that once stood opposite. The stately building is officially listed as a historical monument.

- The hotel does not have a 24-hour reception. It is possible to check in until 22:00 h. On official holidays guests need to check in before 13:00 h.
- An additional bed can be placed in the room on request, at a charge of €12.50 a night.
- Pets are not allowed.
