The hotel lies on the slopes of the hill Cuaberg, with its back (the north) to the village that lies about 100 metres below. The terrace faces south and offers a view over the hills and the Wilhelminia tower.
Within 800 metres you will find the spa baths of Thermae 2000, Holland Casino and the old cole mines. The cave Gemeentegrot lies within 150 metres and the cave Fluwelengrot and the ruin at only 50 metres.
You want to visit the beautiful city of Maastricht? The train station of Valkenburg lies within 8 minutes walking distance and the train will bring you to the centre of Maastricht in 10 minutes.

In style and location, Hotel LeTo is something special in Valkenburg.
LeTo means summer in Russian, which is not only visible in the colours used, but also in the linens, decoration, breakfast crockery and various gadgets. The style of Hotel LeTo is a bit retro and the whole leans towards a boutique hotel; it's a fun mix of design with a wink to kitsch.
In spite of all the fantastic reviews - which are cherished by the hotel - guests do need to bear in mind that Hotel LeTo is a regular 2-star hotel, with a special touch.
The hotel has non-smoking double rooms on the ground floor and on the first and second floor. Unfortunately there's no elevator. There are 2 types of rooms with the same basic facilities: shower and toilet, tv and DVD player, Senseo or Inventum coffee and tea making facilities and a double bed. The difference lies in the fact that the comfort rooms are a bit more spacious than the standard rooms, even though all rooms aren't very big. This is one of the reasons why the hotel has 2 stars instead of three. There's a balcony in one room of each room type. In all rooms, except for the ones on the ground floor, you can make use of the wireless Internet.
Important extra information
- Pets are not allowed;
- Group bookings can only be made after consultation with the hotel. The hotel will always contact you in case you made a booking of more than 2 rooms, just to check the nature of the group. Cancellation by the hotel could be one of the possibilities.
Considering the fact the hotel is run by 2 people, there are some restrictions:
- Parking your car before the check in time is only possible after 13:00 h. and after checking out you can leave your car in the parking lot until 13:00 h.;
- In case you want to check in after 19:00 h. you need to consult the hotel in advance;
- Between 11:00 h. and 13:00 h. the reception is closed for cleaning activities;
- Breakfast is served between 8:00 h. and 10:00 h.

Parking: Free parking space is available for hotel guests. From 13:00 h. on the day of arrival, one passenger car per room can be parked, free of charge. However, when there is sufficient space at the hotel's parking lot, these can be parked on request
